Crisis erupted at one of the venues for the APC House of Representatives primary Election in Akure the Ondo State capital as some hoodlums invaded the venue .
The chairman of the electoral committee, Mr Adeyemi Akola was about announcing the results when the hoodlums dashed into the venue demanding cancellation of the election.
There was then sporadic shooting and tear gas making people including party members , Journalists and passersby scampered to safety
Security operatives however got on top of the situation while Prince Aderin Adesida was declared the winner to contest for Akure South and North Federal Constituency in 2023 general election
Prince Adesida polled 68 votes to defeat his closest rival Mayokun Alade who had 37 votes.
Report says INEC officials also monitored the exercise.
