Organising career day for students routinely is part of the ways to reshape the path of students in life.

This was the submission of the Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on students’ affairs, Mr Victor Olojede at a career and prize-giving day ceremony organized by Oba Akinbiyi High School 2, Mokola, Ibadan.

Mr Olojede gave the opinion that career day could change students’ ways of thinking to become useful to themselves and society at large.

He called on students who were not performing optimally not to be pessimistic, as they could still attain any height in life.

“I was one of those who didn’t get an award in secondary school, but thank God for my life today”.

The Principal, of Oba Akinbiyi High School 2, Mrs Oluwatoyin Ayodele said the programme was put together as a way of encouraging students to become their best version in life.

She noted that it had become a yearly event which would stir up competition in students to improve their performances in their various fields of study, in order to receive awards attached.

Chairman Parents Teachers’ Association of Oba Akinbiyi High School two, Mr Abiodun Odejayi, said the idea of setting up a career talk always has a positive impact on students.

He however called on other parents to keep on encouraging their children to choose their careers wisely.
