Corp Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has charged federal and states governments to create a special unit that will track and evaluate the performance of workforce in the public service.

He gave the charge at the quarterly public lecture organised by Ekiti State Government for public servants with the theme ‘Performance Evaluation, Imperative in the Public Service: the FRSC Experience’.

Dr oyeyemi noted that the units would create a website for such initiative, which is a key element in performance evaluation to ensure optimum performance in public service.

In a remark, the state governor, kayode Fayemi stressed that periodic capacity building, training and re-training for civil servants in the state remained the top priority of his government.

Governor Fayem also allayed the fear and rumours making the rounds that the government was planning to retrench workers based on the minimum wage implementation.

He also assured workers that government would implement the resolution of the committee set up to reach a compromise on consequential adjustment for workers.
