Gunmen Abduct Chinese Expatriates in Osun

Gunmen have abducted two Chinese expatriates, Zhao Juan, 33, and one Wen, at a mining site in Osun State.

The foreigners were kidnapped yesterday’s afternoon at Okepa/Itikan village in Ifewara, Atakumosa-West local government area.

Reports indicate that the gunmen engaged local security men guarding the foreigners in a gun duel for almost an hour and went away with the miners after subduing the guards.

Confirming the incidence, the police public relations officer, Yemisi Opalola noted that the two private guards who sustained injuries during the gun duel were receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the state.

Mrs Opalola said the state command had begun a manhunt for the Kidnappers.
