To stem the alarming rate of the effect of hard drugs among the youths, parents, guardians and the society at large must take major roles at waging war against the menace.

Former director, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Oyo state, Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu made this known at a lecture in Ibadan, while speaking on the implication of drug abuse and trafficking.

Mrs Dosunmu who said parents must rise up to their responsibilities by instilling family and moral values in their children, blamed the recent trend in violence on indiscriminate intake of hard drugs by youth.

She said the behaviour of a child was greatly influenced by his background and family care.

Mrs Dosunmu appealed to parents to be good mentors to their children and provide leadership by example.  Mosope Mosope Kehinde
