Dr Ajimobi said that, compared to the Presidential and National Assembly elections, the turnout of voters was not encouraging and commended INEC for living up to expectations.

Similarly, the son of the Late Former Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, Idris Abiola-Ajimobi who’s vying for the Ibadan Southwest Constituency 2 seat at the Oyo state house of Assembly commended the process and expressed optimism that the process would be concluded without any hitch.

Meanwhile, here are pictures of Former Governor Rashidi Ladoja casting his vote at unit 13, ward 10, In North LG.

In a related development, Radio Nigeria correspondents, who visited the polling units, observed that there were more people who exercised their franchise during the Presidential and National Assembly elections compared to today’s election.

Speaking to Radio Nigeria, two presiding officers from two polling units at Dugbe, Ibadan North West Local Government, attributed the low turnout to fear of security threat to the people.

Meanwhile, the voting exercise is expected to end by 2 30 pm and the counting of votes would commence immediately

Security personnel were seen on the ground to maintain law and order.
